I had an AWESOME trip to DC! I had never been before and we got to see so many great things. I went with my family (minus Emily). We had perfect weather which was great because we did so much walking outside and around the city. We went to the Holocaust Memorial Museum, 3 of the Smithsonian Museums:Air & Space, Natural History, and American History, Ford’s Theater where Lincoln was shot, and the National Zoo. We of course saw the White House (sadly, our tour was cancelled because of the Congressional Dinner), the Washington Monument which was my favorite landmark, the Capitol, World War II Memorial, Lincoln Memorial, Jefferson Memorial and National Archives. Whew! We did all that in 2.5 days! If you have never been to DC…GO! Such a beautiful, clean city filled with so much history and neat things to see. Can’t wait to go back!
